The history of the pram and later the buggy is surprisingly interesting and eventful. The first factory for making prams was founded in 1965 – a well-known aviation engineer invented the “buggy” made of aluminum tube. This is meanwhile available in all possible sizes, all possible colours, many different materials, sporting, practical or functional variants – and one that grows with the child. The Recliner from Ofrat Smart Trike is initially a buggy, then a trike and so adapts ideally to the growth of the child. The pram can be converted to a robust, self-steered trike in no time at all. The special thing about the Recliner is the number of useful and practical details, including features such as a sun shade or a bag for stowing small articles. Well thought out solutions show the great care and ingenuity of the manufacturer. The Recliner grows with the child, has many possible uses, looks smart and is extremely robust. This concept and its exemplary carefully thought out implementation convinced the jury.
